James' neighbor Stan gives him a box of old books. When he opens them a character comes out to help him solve a problem. Your kids learn about confidence, empathy, and that things don't have to be perfect to be amazing!

Dragon for Dinner

Experience the magic of reading a book for the first time.

James dreams of being a reporter, so when his sixth grade English Teacher assigns everyone to enter the Mayor’s writing competition he is confident he can win. Then he sits down to write. Nothing. Not a single idea.

James’ elderly neighbor, Stan, comes to the door with a box of old books, claiming they will cure him of his writer's block. James skeptically opens the first book and a small blue dragon appears in his room!

“Blue” has the energy of a 6-week-old puppy and a mission to complete, claiming he will be around until he solves a problem for James. However, when Blue smells James’ sister’s delicious meal cooking, things get interesting.

Will Blue help James unravel the mysterious magic of the books from Stan, or will he just ruin dinner for everyone?

Troll for Tacos

When a call for help leads to double the trouble.

Sixth grader James and his Mom are at their wits' ends. His usually bubbly younger sister Grace has turned rude, grumbly, and sulky. After Grace storms out of dinner and stomps up the stairs, James realizes that this is a problem beyond him. He decides it's time to turn to the next book in a magical series he received from his neighbor Stan. As he dives into the Troll Bridge, a Troll the size of his room appears, slumps down on his floor and refuses to speak. James can't believe it. Now he has two trolls to deal with!

The troll follows James like a dark rain cloud to the bowling alley, a pet store, and then back to school. As James observes his tough towering shadow, he begins to see signs of kindness.

Can James help bring out the light in "Tar" and help his sister, or will he be stuck living under the same roof with two incredibly grumpy creatures?
