It’s Science Expo time and 9-year-old John King is thrilled. He’s been waiting for this event his whole life. He even has special permission to use his Dad’s pen. Not just any pen, this is the important event pen, one he’s never been allowed to use before. When he goes to get the pen from the sleek box it’s stored in, he is shocked to find it missing. John immediately enlists the help of his siblings in finding the missing pen, but will they find it in time?

Spring is Afton King’s favorite time of year. Not only because it’s her birthday season, but because it’s when all the flowers are in bloom. As an aspiring botanist, she gives love and dedication to her many flowers and plants. As excitement for Afton and her twin brother’s birthday party builds, an unpleasant surprise comes to Afton. Her perfectly planted daffodils have disappeared! Upon further investigation she finds footprints where the flowers used to be – who could have done this?
